HJ Logistical Solutions Limited is an investor funded asset based brokerage focusing on local markets, hard to cover lanes, and carrier vetting services. Specifically, HJ primarily works with FTL freight, and manufacturing facilities.
Over the years working in the transportation industry HJ has built a network of carriers, and brokerages who specialize in all modes and types of freight, empowering us to exceed the expectations of any shipper.
The team at HJ also owns, and manages a local federal motor carrier excelling at customer satisfaction, exceptional communication, and on time deliveries. HJ’s team is data focused allowing them to forcast market fluctuations, weather challenges, and logistical nuance.

Gerald M. Gioia
President HJ Logistical Solutions Limited
Gerald (Jerry) Gioia is President and CEO at HJ Logistical Solutions Limited. He has been described by colleagues, customers, and contractors as “a dynamic thinker,” “creative problem solver,” “someone who strives for excellence,” and “a consensus builder.” He is fond of saying “life develops what it demands” and is an individual who sees things through to completion. When he makes a commitment to do something; it gets done. He is a person that people can, and regularly do, rely on.
Jerry brings more than a decade of extensive transportation and logistics industry experience with him. He has a Class A CDL with tanker, doubles/triples endorsements and he is hazmat certified. He has logged over 500,000 accident and violation free miles. Jerry began his freight career working with Coca-Cola Bottling Company High County in 2011. While at Coca Cola he was trained in, and eventually taught logistical analysis/problem solving, Class 8 truck skills, safety and compliance skills, regulatory requirements, financial analysis, and managerial success skills. He built a team at Coca Cola of some of the most talented people in the industry, and increased sales volume, market share as well as net margin in the company. He remains in touch with many of his prior team members and is honored that many continue to reach out to him for periodic brainstorming and strategic synergy sessions.
In 2019, Jerry left the Coca Cola family to become more fully immersed in the freight industry and started an OTR motor carrier, Goin Mobile LLC. Jerry steadily grew the company adding numerous contractors operating under its authority. Jerry had the wisdom to immediately dialog with people who were already successful in this space to expand his already extensive knowledge of the industry. Significantly, most of those who were once his mentors at this time are now proud to call him a respected peer. Goin Mobile LLC continues to grow and be profitable, notwithstanding cyclical downturns in the fright market, because of Jerry’s unparalleled work ethic, demonstrated commitment to reliability, and ability to successfully network. Jerry continues to remain involved in the day-to-day operations of Goin Mobile LLC, including operating equipment when the situation warrants it.
Jerry recently co-founded HJ Logistical Solutions Limited with Heather Barneski. His background in multiple roles in the freight industry has equipped Jerry with a unique perspective, and facilitates his ability to work with shippers, carriers, and receivers to meet deadlines, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.
In his free time Jerry enjoys weight training, Jiu-Jitsu, domestic and global macroeconomic analysis, hunting, and motocross.

Heather Barneski
Chief Operations Officer
Heather Barneski is the Chief Operations Officer of HJ Logistical Solutions Limited. She co-founded this company with her business partner in 2022.
Heather has extensive experience in logistics. In addition to her work at HJLSL, she manages the Federal Motor Carrier, Goin Mobile LLC. She has worked in education for over 10 years and has a Bachelor of Science degree in that field. She is organized, focused, and articulate with the ability to oversee many tasks. She is driven and has with a passion for working with people.
Heather is a Colorado native. She earned her degree from Colorado State University and currently resides in a small mountain town.
Outside of working, Heather enjoys spending time with her 2 kids, traveling, being outdoors and crafting.

FAQs
How much will it cost to move my freight?
Freight rates depend on a number of factors. How many miles, how many days in transit, delivery location outbound load volumes, weather, and the facilities reputation for being efficient loading and unloading. There are other dynamics which can influence rates, however the largest factors are listed above.
Why should I work with HJ Logistical?
HJ is not focused on volume. When working with us you will see that we are primarily focused on markets and lanes that we fully understand. We specialize in our local markets, and our sister companies commonly traveled lanes. Our desire is to match your freight with a company and driver which we have personally vetted, and previously work with. This eliminates a large element of risk and increases visibility on your shipments. HJ seeks to work directly with our sister company (Goin Mobile LLC) as much as possible; not to simply increase total number of loads moved under our umbrella.
What’s the catch?
If the lowest quote is your primary, overriding issue we most likely will not be the best fit. One thing we avoid at HJ is over promising, and under delivering. How many times have you partnered with a silver tongued broker who promised professionalism and consistency only to have the freight left on the dock, delivered late/damaged, have operators arrive in trucks you did not contract with, or operated by rude and disrespectful drivers? It has happened to us all. At HJ we double the effort to circumvent these possibilities. It is sometimes possible to have the best of both worlds (price and service); so please reach out with any challenge you have.
